Roots
I am very pleased with our root systems on greens. This photo was taken at the end of a long wet and humid summer and you can see that we have kept over 6 inches of roots, even though soil temperatures were very high through July and early August.
Our nutrient levels have been very low. To date we have:
.6 lbs of N from Urea
.4 lbs of P from Mono Potassium Phosphate
.9 lbs of K from Potassium Nitrate
We have also applied Ferrous Sulfate with each application.
I couldn't be happier with the color, texture and health of the turf.
Irrigation Repairs
Bernardo has had a busy year repairing irrigation leaks.
Bernardo has finished replacing a T on the second hole and now he is pumping out the water before backfilling the soil. Note that he has put in a double thrust block. The original T did not have the proper thrust blocking resulting in a leak.

I haven't posted much on the blog. But with fall projects coming up I should begin posting more regularly.
